Babe Ruth Registration 2010 Season

Babe Ruth (Ages 13-15) - Our registration fee is $300 per player for Belmont residents and $320 per player for non-Belmont residents. Sr Babe Ruth (Ages 16-18) - Our registration fee is $340 per player for Belmont residents and $360 for non-Belmont residents. After December 31, the fees increase by $30 (no increase in fees for Sr Babe Ruth). In addition to the rising costs of equipment, supplies and umpires, we must implement a more thorough background screening of our volunteers and on-going coaching support as mandated by Babe Ruth, Inc. While it's important to us to provide a reasonably priced sports outlet for the families in our community, we must also ensure a safe and positive environment for learning and growing in the game of baseball. At a small fraction of the cost of a for-profit baseball program, Bel-Mateo Babe Ruth delivers top quality baseball instruction due to the volunteer status of our excellent coaches. We ask you to come out, get involved, have a good time, and enjoy your game with your classmates and neighbors.

Because our league is run by volunteers, we can always use more help. This year, we are once again in need of a couple of Team Managers as we have lost a couple to graduation of their boys to the next level of baseball. Parents are welcome to help with coaching staffs. We also have openings on the Board of Directors (including President beginning January 2010) and a few other positions for anyone interested in helping out. Please ask your parents to contact me for further information.

Finally, our league welcomes financial support from a variety of sources in an effort to keep player costs down. Through snack bar proceeds, t-shirt sales, and team sponsorships, we are continually able to bring our quality baseball program at an affordable cost to the families in our community. Show your support by ordering a Babe Ruth t-shirt. Also, please contact me directly if you or someone you know is interested in a sponsorship opportunity.

To participate in the 2010 season, all players register online using our new registration system or they must do the following:

1. Fill out the printable registration and medical consent forms.
2. Fill out the 2010 season order form.
3. Enclose a copy of the player's birth certificate (if new to the league).
4. Mail all completed paperwork, required forms, and a check made out to Bel Mateo Babe Ruth by DECEMBER 31st (sign-up deadline) to:
